Costa Rica : Sunset Views
As I mentioned in this post, the Hyatt Andaz Papagayo resort faces east into the bay of Culebra, offering some of the most stunning sunrises I’ve ever seen.
However, if sunsets are more your cup of tea, never fear… You can access gorgeous sunsets as well! The Andaz resort offers access to Prieta Beach Club on the other side of the peninsula. A short drive away, the westward facing beach club offers fabulous sunset views. The vast property offers swimming, relaxing, dining all at the ocean’s edge – not to mention fabulous sunset walks on the beach.
The moments I spent walking on the beach with my baby sister were truly magical, memorable moments.

Again, I turned to Mara Hoffman for bright, bold colors and pattern to invoke the rich hues of this Costa Rican sunset. Also, I clearly cannot get enough of this Eugenia Kim Do Not Disturb hat. As you can see, I’ve been wearing it all spring and summer: in Miami, in Austin, in Palm Springs, and of course here in Costa Rica. Also, I fell in love with my sister’s zigzag ikat sleeveless dress. Isn’t it a great find? I love that it comes in petite and tall sizes too.

I’ve loved that hat for quite some time, it look very chic here with your outfit. Costa Rica looks goreous, I went on a trip in highschool 10 years ago and am dying to go back. Would you recommend the hotel you stayed at? Where did you fly into?

Thanks! Oh yes, I would highly recommend. This was my second time staying here (the first being during their grand opening over New Year’s about a year and a half ago). And I’ll definitely be back!
To get there, it’s an easy short flight from Houston to Liberia. Then, it’s a short 20 minute drive or so to the airport. So easy!
And you should definitely check out the hat… I have worn it a surprising number of times this spring and summer! 🙂

Yes – last time I was here, I became friends with one of the staff at the hotel. He and I share a love for photography, so we connected on Instagram. For my return trip, he arranged for some professional photographer friends of his to spend one afternoon with us. Such wonderful people!
