Happy Wednesday, my friends! Can you believe we are halfway through the week? This week on Wear + Where + Well is dedicated to recapping my fashion week looks. As I promised here, today we are focusing on London Fashion Week (LFW).

One thing that stood out to me during my three week journey is how very different the fashion vibes are in each city. Personally, London’s style most resonates with my own. British fashion is fun, quirky, cool, colorful – fashion with an attitude, if you will. Some of my favorite designers are London-based – Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane, just to name a few.

So I was thrilled for the chance to cross the pond, don some of my favorite British designer duds, and attend some of their shows. Read below for exactly why I chose these looks…

LFW Look 1

I kept it practical for day 1. I had just landed in London at 7 am on this morning, after an overnight flight from Houston. I got off the plane, checked into my flat in Covent Garden (found via One Fine Stay), changed clothes, and headed out to see the sartorial scene.

But even this casual look was a colorful celebration of British fashion. When I first spotted this pink, blue, and green striped J.W. Anderson sweater, I knew that I wanted to wear it for London Fashion Week. You can’t tell in these photos, but the sweater has some really unique cutouts at the elbows. My original plan was to wear it with this matching skirt. Sadly, the skirt did not arrive in time for my trip. That’s okay though, as comfortable boyfriend jeans fit the bill just fine for this day.

Besides J.W. Anderson, I added two more Brits to the mix via this fun Anya Hindmarch sticker bag, plus this Burberry pink and red ombre trench coat. Side note: this trench provides a great fashion lesson. Quality, classic pieces like a Burberry trench never go out of style! I purchased this Burberry trench three or four years ago, and it still looks brand new. While some might suggest neutrals for wardrobe basics, I can attest to the fact that this coat has proven so versatile. Plus, it makes me happy every time I put it on!

LFW Look 2

Day 2 was a bit dreary and wet in London, so I again went for more of a casual chic option. This look centered upon this Christopher Kane runway piece. The fringe on this jumper is amazing! Turning around never looked so dramatic

Continuing the ode to British fashion theme, I paired this with two more quintessentially British designers. I carried another bag from Anya Hindmarch; You might recall that I first carried this particular bag during fashion week last September. Plus, I had to break out my comfortable and quirky Stella McCartney star boyfriend jeans.

LFW Look 3

Day 3 in London was a fashion dream come true. This was the day of Mary Katrantzou’s show. (See all the runway looks here.) I have worn and admired Mary’s designs for several years, plus I had the chance to meet her last spring. Trust me, Mary the person is just as delightful as the designs she creates! Her designs touch me and inspire me like no other.

So, clearly, my look for the show had to revolve around a piece from her current collection! I chose this tulip pleated dress, which played nicely with the extreme wind that day. A dress like this largely stands on its own. But I of course had to add just a bit more interest via my new favorite Aquazzura shoes.

LFW Look 4

Finally, by day 4, I was ready for some comfy shoes – particularly because we had lots of walking around to do this day. Between the wet weather and the cobblestone streets, sneakers won the battle of the footwear for this day.

Then I went for an unexpected pairing. Sneakers with this slouchy sequin look by Tibi created an interesting juxtaposition – which I ended up liking even more than I expected to. What’s not to love about being simultaneously comfortable and sparkly all day?

So, which one of these four is your favorite? Be sure to catch the details from New York Fashion Week (NYFW) here. And I’ll be back Friday with looks from Milan.

Thanks as always for stopping by! Your support means the world. I love to hear your thoughts. Have a great day!
