About CarrieColbert.com

Our mission is to empower women to live, think, and dress with more color.

More Color, Please

When you experience life, you have two choices: see things the same and let them become common, or see each day and each experience with fresh eyes.

We choose the latter.

Welcome to CarrieColbert.com –  the place where we express ourselves, create content, and curate products that capture the fun side of luxury.

We aim to empower women to live, think, and dress with more color.

Our Brand Promises to You

These are two things you can always expect around here.

Change the Common

We’re relentlessly changing the common by challenging the way you see and experience everyday products and places. You’ll never see a dull photo around here! We capture experiences in a unique, playful, unexpected way.

Live It, Then Show It

We absolutely live what we love, and we don’t just love what we are promoting. This means that our team believes in the brands we represent, and those brands are already integrated into our lives before we share them with you.

The Team

Julie Weinstein

Chief Operating Officer + Senior Editor

After moving around the country for most of her life, Julie’s most recent move five years ago was from New York City to Houston.

After graduating from Lasell College she worked in the fashion industry at Intermix and Oscar de la Renta. She then worked for supermodel and philanthropist Petra Nemcova, and became Head of Operations for her home decor line, Be The Light New York.

Julie has had a passion for writing for as long as she can remember. She’s had a lifestyle blog for the past six years. She has also managed social media and blogs for various fashion and lifestyle brands.

In 2015, Julie published her first book, Oops! : An Insider’s Guide to Dating, Sex, and Relationships in Your 20s. She is currently working on her first novel.

Julie started working with Carrie in October 2016 as her Senior Editor. She is now also her Chief Operating Officer.

When she’s not working, Julie is either chatting up a storm on Insta stories, drinking Diet Coke or Chardonnay (sometimes both at the same time), or hanging out with her family and friends.

As Carrie likes to say, Julie is the one who makes stuff happen.

Favorite color : purple / Favorite color to wear : grey, black, and white (but she’s doing her best to move into colorful territory)

Ashley Cardoza

Lead Designer + Digital Strategist

Ashley is a photographer, momma to three girls, graphic designer, and the digital marketing strategist for Carrie. She shares her life of babies and adventures with her husband on Instagram and is constantly trying to get her act together.

She has been working with Carrie since before the first blog post was even written. Ashley started as Carrie’s photographer and worked her way up to digital marketing and design for the site. While she still gets behind the camera, her main role is the chief design babe.

She has lived in Houston since 2010 after her cross-country move from Connecticut. Ashley is probably the most casual of the bunch and can be found sharing her camping trips, wearing chacos, or drinking Kombucha on the regular. Her favorite color to wear is grey and denim (sorry, Carrie).

Ashley’s currently training for a half-marathon and has no plans for a personal record, she just wants to finish the race alive (three babies in three years is no joke on the body y’all).

Favorite color : teal / Favorite color to wear : grey, denim, olive green

When she’s not working, she enjoys helping her husband grow his lifestyle photography business and scout Houston for great places to shoot, usually with her stand-in subject in tow – her three-year-old daughter Jamie! She also loves traveling and shopping with her fashionista mother aka @GagaLovesGucci.
