3 Easy, Tasty Holiday Snacks

If you’re like us, you’ll soon have family and friends descending on your house for holidays. And despite all the big meals and such that we eat around the holidays, it seems we still love to snack while we are gathered together. Am I right? Well, whether you are a fan or sweet or savory snacks, we have options for you this holiday season. These 3 easy holiday snack recipes are great to have around the house for both you and your guests. I can guarantee that you must practice self-restraint because once you start eating these tasty holiday munchies you won’t want to stop!

 

Festive Chex Mix

Everything always tastes better homemade, and this sweet festive Chex mix is no exception. The candy and sprinkles give this snack a festive look that is perfect for your upcoming holiday events.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Chex
  • 1/2 Bag pretzels
  • 1/2 Bag Bugles
  • 1 Bag of holiday (red/green) M&Ms
  • 1 Bag of white chocolate chips
  • 6 crushed candy canes
  • Christmas sprinkles

Directions 

First, cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Then, in a zip bag, crush candy canes. In a large bowl combine cereal, Bugles, and pretzels.

Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate in the microwave. In small increments, drizzle the white chocolate over the dry mixture and immediately sprinkle the M&Ms, crushed peppermint and sprinkles on top. Mix until evenly coated. Repeat steps until all dry mixture is covered.

Next, divide in half and spread on the baking sheets. Finally, let the candy set before serving.

Christmas Popcorn Crack

Be warned…this is very addictive! In fact, make extra because it will disappear before your eyes. With only a few ingredients, this recipe is so easy to make and is always a big hit.

Ingredients

  • 8 Cups popped popcorn
  • 2 Cups pretzels
  • 1 1/2 Bags of white chocolate chips
  • 1 Bag of holiday (red/green) M&Ms

Directions 

First, cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Then, place popcorn and pretzels in a large bowl. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave.

Next, drizzle white chocolate over the popcorn mixture and mix to evenly coat. Immediately sprinkle the M&Ms in and mix again.

Then, divide in half and spread on the baking sheets. Finally, let the candy set before serving.

Garlic Chex Mix

For those that love savory treats, this recipe is one to try because it takes the traditional Chex mix to a whole other level. Make sure you grab a handful (or two) of this before it is gone.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 Tsp.  garlic powder
  • 1 Cup pretzel sticks
  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 1 Cup mini toasts
  • 1 Cup nuts

Directions 

First, cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Then, melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Add Chex, pretzels, nuts and mini toasts. Mix until pieces are evenly coated.

Next, divide in half and spread on the baking sheets. Finally, let the dry before serving.
